Affording flexible accommodation for 10 adults with additional space for children.
 
Recently renovated/refurbished in 2010 and designed with careful consideration for children and disabled, including a large enclosed garden and courtyard.
 
The property is surrounded by fields and bordered by a meandering river. A choice of a rambler’s path or farm road to Straiton village offers traditional pub, café, church, play park and community run shop. On your very doorstep are road cycle and mountain bike routes, stunning hacking and walks following the river through forests and hills.
 
Stabling & grazing available to allow you to bring your own horses to fully benefit from the fabulous tracking in the area.
 
Cycle storage and fishing for trout and salmon on the grounds (small fee applies for local fishing club)
 
Excellent local catering available.

Traditional yet, comfortable and spacious farmhouse benefiting from private and safe gardens nestled at the foot of Bennan Hill in a hollow of beautiful Ayrshire countryside offering the perfect balance of relaxation and recreation for families or friends. A pleasant walk to the historical and charming village of Straiton and a short drive to nearby beaches, golf, historic sites and entertainment.
 Bennan House has oak flooring and doors throughout with carpets on the upper floor, five large bedrooms offering flexible sleeping arrangements including a double bedroom with en-suite, ideal for disabled, infirm and / or families with babies, also on the ground floor is a large dining kitchen with AGA range cooker, fully equipped kitchen, with adjoining children’s area, spacious lounge, comfortable seating for twelve with open fire and TV / Sky / DVD. There is a separate games room offering air hockey and play station TV with DVD & Video, children’s toys etc. There is a shower room with toilet, bathroom with toilet and a further two cloakroom toilets.
 
Bennan grounds consist of a rear courtyard for parking and a large front garden with extensive seating area, grass and soft play surface commanding views across the horse fields, river and countryside to Bennan Hill where the Hunter Monument stands proud.
 The immediate countryside has renowned road cycle routes, rambler’s trails and off the beaten track river, forest, and hill walks, hacking and mountain biking. Fishing for trout and salmon is available on the river bordering the outer fields of the property which, whilst being easily accessible is well fenced for children’s safety. Horse riding, including facilities for children and disabled riders is available nearby by separate negotiation.
 The local village of Straiton offers a community run shop, cafe, play park, church and pub with open fire beer garden and meals.
 The small town of Maybole is only 7 miles away. There is a supermarket, swimming -pool, library, and a very good deli, as well as a selection of coffee shops.
 The larger town of Ayr offers night time entertainment, a variety of restaurants and pubs, sandy beach, extensive children’s park for children of all ages, a fantastic soft play area, cinema and swimming pool not to mention high street shopping and the famous Ayr Race Course.
 The following activities are within a pleasant 30 minutes drive
• A selection of wonderful sandy or rocky beaches, the rocky beaches are ideal for family beach fires, whilst exploring caves, ruined castles and rock pools.
 • Culzean Castle and Country Park,
• Heads of Ayr Farm Park offering a fabulous day for all the family, especially children.
 • Golfing at Royal Turnberry or Royal Troon with a range of other clubs nearby.
 • Burns Heritage Park.
• Horse riding.
